engines in package.json). Tested here on 22.23.2.git clone <your-fork-url> csv-trim cd csv-trim
The package is not on the npm registry, so the old npm install -g csv-trim line has been removed. To put csv-trim on your PATH from a checkout, run npm link (dry run only, not executed).
npm run example
Expected output:
name,city Ana,Porto Bo,Oslo
node bin/csv-trim.js <input.csv> # print to stdout node bin/csv-trim.js <input.csv> --out <output.csv> # write a file
With no input file, it prints the usage line and exits with code 1.
node --test test/*.test.js
npm test (node --test test/) currently fails on Node.js 22: Node tries to load test/ as a module. Change the script to the command above to fix it.
"Lisbon, PT" comes out as "Lisbon,PT" (checked).MIT. See LICENSE.

--- name: readme-polish description: "Give your next project a README that gets people from curious to running." --- # README, Reimagined ## When to use Use this skill to create or improve a project's README using evidence from its actual source. ## Workflow 1. Inspect package manifests, scripts, licenses, existing docs, and application entry points. Never assume a stack or command. 2. Identify the intended reader and the shortest verified path from clone to a working result. 3. Organize the README into overview, requirements, setup, first run, common commands, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and contributing when applicable. 4. Use exact commands from the repository. Mark external accounts and environment variables required, optional, or deferred. Include placeholder values only; never secrets. 5. Explain expected output after the first run. Include a small example only when it can be verified. 6. Validate links and execute safe documented commands where possible. Distinguish tested steps from unverified deployment instructions. ## Definition of done A new developer can follow the README without hidden knowledge. No invented badges, benchmarks, licenses, compatibility promises, or success claims.

A repeatable documentation workflow that starts with the actual project, verifies installation steps, and shapes a concise README around the reader's first successful run. No invented features, badges, or compatibility claims.
The package is instructions only: SKILL.md, a README and the sample run as Markdown, no scripts.

Use the readme-polish skill. Read SKILL.md first. Ask me for anything it needs that I have not given you, follow its steps on my material, then report what you checked and anything you could not verify.
